I didn't use to like broccoli, but I found if you don't overcook it, it's pretty good, and the vitamin content is still there.

Probably my favorite cooked vegetable. Just make sure the stems are fully cooked.

Broccoli is alright if it is eaten raw, but I don't care for it when it is cooked.

Dry, it is tasteless and difficult to eat. Soaked (and perhaps with a bit of salt), it's wonderful, not to mention extremely nutritious.

Mmmm . . . . ever have broccoli and cheese soup? That stuff is awesome! I like broccoli, it's good just nuked with a little bit of butter. I even eat a little bit raw with my salads on occasion, but only in small quantities.

Nothing (well, almost nothing) beats broccoli in cheddar cheese sauce..... absolutely and positively scrumptious!

Of all the vgetables out there, broccoli is one of the best. It has a nice texture, and is very healthy. I don't know why people dump on it so much. I don't like broccoli with cheese, but I do like cooked broccoli a lot.

How can anyone stomach this horrible-looking, incredibly-stinky vegetable? Sure, it's "healthy", but you can get equal health from vitamins and other supplements. Sure, its a useful weapon if you want to run someone away from your kitchen table and out of your house, but there is no use for it. It's not easy being green, but its even tougher eating green!

Possibly the most disgusting so-called digestive material on earth. It is sickening to attempt to swallow such garbage.

Calling Roger Taylor. Guess what? There ARE things up in space watching us! I mean, where else could broccoli have come from. Last time I ate broccoli, i somehow managed to choke the stuff down without throwing it up. The broccoli turned on me like a rabid hyena. I mean, i seriously felt sick to my stomach. As ellajedlicka puts it, it is the most disgusting, most vile so-called digestive marterial on this planet. I'd rather eat engine oil. I honestly don't care whether it's healthy or not; the thing disagrees with my insides and has gone to war with my tastebuds before. The annoying part is that it always wins. Broccoli=hell. Take care, everyone!

For those who find broccoli a little too strong-tasting but want its nutritional benefits, scoop out a cooked, leftover baked potato a stuff it with this mixture you mix tog. in a bowl: the potato pulp you scooped out, chopped leftover cooked broccoli in small pieces, 1 or 2 cheeses like parmesan and strong cheddar and a little pepper. -You can be creative and other leftovers etc. too. Put it in a hot oven or microwave until cheese is melted and potato is hot all the way through.

Broccoli deserves a "1" for flavor and a "5" for nutrition, so I settled for a "3" overall rating. I really hate the taste and texture of broccoli- both raw and cooked. There is nothing more disgusting than finding overcooked broccoli, flaccid and bitter, on your plate. On the other hand, fresh broccoli adds a lot of interest to a salad or vegetable plate, and I know that broccoli is considered a nutrition powerhouse. I eat broccoli regularly because of the health benefits, but I'm not very happy about it.

I dunno how many of you would know of this trick; put grated parmesan cheese on your broccoli. I've grown up eating it like that, and have never thought much about broccoli's taste. Perhaps it's a little bitter, I've never liked raw broccoli, but I've never understood what people had against this veggie.

Although all vegetables have their healthy attributes, I think of this one as being way into the high end of the "good for you" spectrum. Excellent steamed with lemon and butter, with cheese sauce or raw with a light dip. Personally, I'm a little burnt out with broccoli these days but I still enjoy it occasionally.

I love broccoli, but I find it a bit too bitter on its own. I usually have to put something on it, like butter or cheese.
