I hear Syria's friends are planning to invite Syria over for dinner and then confront them on mass with stories of how Syria's behaviour is having a negative affect their relationships with their loved ones and that they need to seek professional help. The key to this being effective is for all of the members of the intervention to maintain a united front in insisting that Syria change their ways. Good luck with that.

"The president does not have power under the Constitution to unilaterally authorize a military attack in a situation that does not involve stopping an actual or imminent threat to the nation. In instances of self-defense, the president would be within his constitutional authority to act before advising Congress or seeking its consent." -Barack Obama, 2007. Update: This is classified. "I have heard that Israel has chemical weapons. Are they next?" AD
