I've been to from coast to coast and even into different countries to try the best pizza joint in town. I must say, Luigi's hits the spot everytime. If your looking for great food, talk to Chelso @ Luigi's. He can cook up a storm for all party events and for the entire family! Great Service! Great Food! Fresh Toppings! I recommend the Combo Pizza. It would beat Round tables King aurthurs pizza anyday!

I have had "pizza" in NY, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Nevada, Washington(both), Oregon, Idaho, Montana, Utah, North & South Carolina's, Lousiana, Florida, Alaska, Columbia, Panama, Britain, Wales, Athens, Madagascar, South Africa, Mexico, Canada, , Germany, France, Italy(nasty), illinois, all the major cities in CA...this is the best if you like a nice crisp to moderate crust with always the correct amount of sauce and fix'ins on it. The ingredients are supurb and the care in the baking is easily excellent...which really sets them apart. The atmosphere is very relaxed, the service is great, the facilities are clean but old..just the way you want to go eat some damne good food and not worry about sauce on your face. This place doesn't serve that "cardboard" pizza pies !

Pizzafreak does not know what he is talking about. Luigi's pizza is one of the best in sac its been there since 1953. How long does a pizza normally take to cook well lets see about 20-40 minutes gee well would the wait be less if you probly called before arriving i always do, they take long cus they want to make it good. The pizza has three thickness you can order. I perfer thin because the pizza is so filling and you taste there homade sauce better. The service is great too. The only thing bad about it I would have to say the location, the area is a liittle bad, but in 1953 it was probly the best neighbohood around. So pizzafreak go to your pizza hut or whatever don't talk about a classic good pizza cause you don't know what your talking about. Last thing the best pizza to get is a Luigi's special thin crust best tasting.

Worth the trip into the shadowy neighborhood. Everything you order in this place tastes GREAT. It's like going home to grandma's or your favorite Uncle's place for dinner. If the doors are open and you happen to wonder in for lunch (they usually open at 3 or 4 p.m.) get ready to eat the best of the best. The people here have never met a stranger and are respected by everyone. Even though the area is not the best everyone looks out for the patrons of this amazing place. Never worry you will bre safe and so will your car. You might have to be rolled to your car after eating too much though.

I grew up within 2 miles of this place. This place should be a setting for a movie that any Hollywood Director should use for a seedy scene. However, this is one of two great places to eat pizza in South Sacramento. The Chef/Owner has been in the same guy in the window tossing pizza dough since I was a kid. The ingredients are the best. The personal service is the best. The crust is excellent and the experience in unforgettable. Try it. You'll see what I mean.

THE BEST PIZZA IN TOWN, ALL INGREDIENTS INCLUDING THE SAUSAGES ARE HOMEMADE. MY FAMILY HAS BEEN EATING THERE FOR 40 YEARS AND HAVE TRIED ALMOST ALL OF THE PIZZA PARLORS IN SACRAMENTO AND THE SURROUNDING AREAS. NO ONE COMES CLOSE TO LUIGI'S.

I have been searching for "New York" style pizza for over 12 years in Sacramento and I have finally found it. On a recommendation from my physican's nurse, who spent her childhood in Brooklyn, I tried Luigi's and was eleated. Finally a pizza with quality crust, sauce and ingredients! I thought I was in Manhattan eating at John's pizza off Times Square. Foregt about Giovanni's and Zeldas. This is the real thing! New York/New Jersey style thin crust pizza that is quality personified. A plus is the friendly staff who immediately make you feel at home. Don't be put off by the location or ambience as my wife and I loved the place. God bless you Luigi!!

I have been going to Luigi's for 40 years for the Pizza. The owner Chelse, is the nephew of the original owner. He has maintained a tradition of high quality and service that I've experienced all these years. The Pizza dough is made by hand and tossed the baked in old style ovens (not on conveyer belt type ovens like today's wanna-be's). The ingredients are always fresh and tasty (I especially like the Linguisa). The sauce has that "Little Italy" flavor that can't be matched by today's Pizzerias. Though the neighborhood may appear to be tough, the atmosphere inside is friendly and inviting. Great place to watch football & eat!

Luigi's pizza is the very best in town. This is a real family owned bussiness that still does things the Old Fashion way !! The pizza is just out of the world. The combo pizza is mouth watering !! They make all of their own salad dressings and the sausage for the pizza is also homemade. When you go to Luigi's you are treated like you have been going there forever, even on your first visit !! The neighborhood may not be the best, but the pizza will more than make up for it !!

Celso the owner called Luigi by many of his customers has thee best pizza this west of Chicago that I have ever tasted! I have driven 50 miles to enjoy his pizza and his canaloni, and other dishes you would expect from an Italian grandmother laboring hours in a small villa in Italy... there is no better pizza close to Luigi's style and taste that makes your taste buds beg for more after every bite...

There is no doubt the best pizza in Sacramento is Luigi's. Eating a piece reminds me of being bacak East and enjoying the flavors. Luigi's taste like pizza should be, bursting with flavors and spices. Has more and more of my friends try the pizza they all say the same thing, "that is the best I've ever had in this town, or any"! Also good are the fresh pastas and of course, the pastrami sandwhich. Must try!!!
