Legos

The greatest toy ever for kids and kids-at-heart! Develops creativity and patience, allows moms to have time to themselves when kids are occupied with legos. A great substitute for TV and computer games!

They are good for children 6+ but because they are small,you'd lose about 100 pieces before realizing it.They are not as big as before and can become a real choking hazard to children,not only that but you would need about 500 lego pieces just to build things that don't really move,it's more like your building a statue.

As proof of my parenthood, I've got a Lego lodged in the base of my spine. They won't remove it. They claim that the yellow color leeching into my system is the only thing keeping my immune system on high alert. Removing it will liquify my bones. But, it's kinda cool the way my finger nails glow in the dark.

Legos are great, it's nice that I have an excuse to play with them now that I have kids. The only thing that sucks is stepping on that rouge Lego in the middle of the night...

No cash for fleets of Star Wars ships and G.I.Joe bases? Start stealing all the grey and black Lego you can, starting at age 4. By the time you're 7 or 8, you'll have enough to build a better death star than that PIECE OF CRAP they made in the 70s... This one's missing the cardboard backdrop, so there's no illusion of scale. It sucked. My Lego monstrosities were completely great, levers caused bombs to fall out by the dozen, guns covered every square inch, including missile racks with dozens of flickable missiles... and everyone seated inside had a chair like the "emperor" at the end of Return of the Jedi... black, high backed and comfy... with a swivel. This guy had the right idea, this thing is prettier than my beasts... ...but I doubt it holds as many GI.Joes.

I love LEGOs. I think they are creative toys and i love the minifigures. I have almost all of the Harry Potter and Star Wars ones. I also like the new Pirates of the Caribbean legos and the new minifigures. I also enjoy playing the LEGO vide games with my mom.

I loved building things with them when I was kid. Not so much fun to find with a bare foot on an emergency run to bathroom in the middle of the night!

... I think these people are in collusion with a trade organization for manufacturers of slippers. It's not safe to walk barefoot if these are in the house.

Legos where awesome but you need to have a decent amount to actually have some fun....

How many teeth did I damage trying to pry apart Legos? Never buy the cheap brands, go Lego or go home!

I didn't have a lot of them, but I played with legos all the time when I was a little kid. Somehow my little brother ended up having a lot more of these things than I ever did. He had a big bucket of them as well as a bunch of the pirate sets. My favorite ones were probably the Lego Technic series, which had more moving parts such as shocks, chains, working steering systems, etc. I had a motorcycle set and a jeep set that I played with a lot.

I had a cousin that stuffed four leggos up each nostril and had to be taken to the ER to have them removed I guess he is the shallow end of my families gene pool.

I take off one star for the parental experience of stepping on a piece of this in the dark with bare feet.Great fun, and I'm sort of sad my kids have grown out of it and given it away.  I kind of liked to build little towns with it.

What's left to be said about Legos?  How about this- as an adult, I've secretly wished I still had them to mess around with. . .but I don't have the time and I don't know how I would explain it to. . .her.

they are one of the nicer toys out there. a nice way to encourage a child to use their imagination. even fun for adults. they have been around for years. can start out with a basic case of them.or invest some cash in projects to build certain buildings and other things. i know a friend of mine had a nephew who loved these when he was growing up and now he is an architect.who knows maybe those legos had something to do with it.

This is the best toy in the world. It encourages creativity and is a good break from all the eletronic entertainment. Although Legos are not cheap, every child should have a set of Legos. If you're at all a Lego fan, be sure to take a trip to Legoland or visit some of the numerous independent Lego club websites. These kept me busy as a kid. I used to build mini houses out of these things.

You can never have enough Legos. The only complaint I have is the price!

Kids seem to like these,but some parents don't like all the small pieces that end up all over the place.I'd recommend them for older kids with a neat streak.

My first set of legos were basic blocks only thing special were roof and wheel pieces. I still loved it. Once I made a music box (minus the music of course) with dancing people on top.

I.m too old to have gotten them as a child, but have spent countless hours on the floor with my children with these. It's amazing to see what they can come up with on their own and how well they can build it. These should be mandatory for children!

Legos were great when I was younger I especially liked the spaceship-car-rocket etc type peices (not the new preformed crap, but the smooth peices and wind sheilds, cuz then I could design my own vehicles). After legos came erector sets though and I quickly forgot my childhood fascination :(

You can't go wrong with some old-fashioned legos. But what's up with these new sets, where everything's practically pre-formed? I was pretty disappointed with the Bionicles. I would be happy in a sea of legos (just so long as they gave me enough of those floor pieces).

Legos are fantastic toys for children teaching them patience and creativity and most importantly there are no computer assistance as they have to do this themselves. I had hours of fun with lego as a kid and even today I would love to visit Legoland in Windsor.

These were my favorite. I had several sets of legos and would build huge cities out of them. I am dissapointed at them today. They are all Harry Potter and other wierd themed legos. Not as versatile as the original.

Even at 36 years old, I LOVE Legos. My 2 year old daughter does too. They are a classic!

To be honest, I never followed the recommended assembly instructions--I just took a bucket of these and let my imagination soar. My step up from the long-immortal Tinkertoys--legos were always great fun, and a certain platform for a child's infinite imagination.
