Do Not Use FareBuzz: Bait-and-Switch FareBuzz does the classic unethical maneuver to perfection - hook customers with lower prices, then actually allow them to book their flights at these lower prices (the truly diabolical twist)...then call (not email) the customer to inform them the price has 'changed' - nothing changed, they just hooked you with a bogus price to being with. I suspect that Farebuzz is not the only disreputable site that pulls this fraudulent trick. I will never again use anything but the more reputable, larger travel companies.

HI, MY NAME IS CATRICE JENKINS...I HAVE BEEN FIGHTING THE LAST MONTH NOW TRYING TO GET A REFUND FROM FAREBUZZ AFTER THEY HAD SAID I WOULD GET IF REFUNDED. HERE IS HOW IT STARTED: I BOOKED MY TICKET TO AFRICA ON MARCH 7, SCHEDULED TO LEAVE ON APRIL 10, 2011. I RECEIVED NOTICE MY PASSPORT WOULD POSSIBLY BE DELAYED. I CALLED FAREBUZZ THREE TIME DURING THAT WEEK OF APRIL ON THE 4TH WHEN I CALLED SPOKE WITH CLINTON. HE SAID AS LONG AS I CALL BY 8TH IT WOULD BE FINE. I ASKED COULD I CALLHIM BACK SINCE HE WAS AWARE OF OUR CONVERSATION..HE SAID HE WAS OFF THT DAY BUT ANYONE COULD HELP ME. SO ON THE 8TH OF APRIL, I CALLED TO CANCEL MY FLIGHT. THE GENTLEMAN WAS HELPFUL AND EXPLAINED TO ME THAT I WOULD RECEIVE 758.00 REFUND(BALANCE OF THE 1,198.00 I PAID MINUS THE 300.00 PENALTY AND 140.00 TAXES AND FEES DEDUCTED FROM THE PRICE). HE SAID IT WOULD CREDITED BACK TO MY CARD. BY THE FOLLOWING FRIDAY I SAW NO SIGN OF A REFUND SO I CALLED ON THE 15TH OF APRIL TO DISCOVER THAT THE REPRESENTATIVE... Read more

I booked tickets to France for what I thought would be a great deal through Farebuzz.com. I even got a confirmation e-mail, a reservation #, and a booking ID #. That was on 6/10 @12:15am. I received an e-mail on 6/11 in the afternoon from Farebuzz.com stating that I would need to pay an additional $750 because the rates changed while they were confirming my credit card information. If they would have reserved the tickets at that price while they checked the information, I would have my tickets to France right now, but I don't. Also, why did they take a whole day and a half to e-mail me this information? I have gotten in touch with several people to no avail. The company cannot back up what they promised. I feel I have been duped.
