The only problem I had was with an international order, and that was due to their local partner messing up. Still, I think they should have better control over how their partners perform.

I've ordered a bouquet of flowers for Valentines, the photo looked quite elegant and said it was the best seller and had 5 roses among other flower, my girlfriend has taken a photo when she received it, the flower she received was nothing like the photos I've seen online, and only 2 roses. The card she had received didn't even had my name on it, so she didn't know who it was from, although it was a short message, only 2/3 of the message was on the card, with a horrible hand writing it was very hard to read what it had said. I know it's not 1800 Flowers fault, it was the florist's fault but I won't be able to trust them for the next flower I order from them.

I was pleased with my flowers, but they are getting so expensive. I can't say they are more here than anywhere else though. The quality was great. I was happy overall and would use them again.

I used 1-800 Flowers for a Mother's Day delivery to my mom in Florida. The order never arrived. I found it very difficult to get assistance from their phone representatives. it was almost impossible to get a supervisor on the line. Refunds took way too long. Overall, I don't recommend this company. Perhaps they have become too large to deal with smaller orders.

I've ordered from 1-800-Flowers a few times and I've never had any problems.  They've always gotten my order right, and I always get great responses from the people I send flowers to (my girlfriend =) ) I would definitely recommend them for sending flowers to someone for any occasion. They're also actually having a pretty cool the photo contest called "Fields of the World." They've got a couple good prizes, but I think the coolest part is how you can get a 15% discount from their online store just for entering. You can enter here: http://1800flowers.eprize.net/fieldsoftheworld/

I had just one experience with them last year on Mother's Day. Since I'm ordering for 2 mothers--my adoptive mother and my birth mother--- I placed the order a week in advance of Mother's Day, specifying the day it should be delivered (Mother's Day or the day before Mother's Day). The phone operator I spoke with, who was very polite and agreeable, said this could be done, no problem. Was there a problem? Of course there was. The one order for my birth mother arrived when it was supposed to, and she was very happy. The order for my adoptive mother arrived 1 day after I had phoned it in, and she was very happy, but I wasn't particularly. It might not have bothered me as much if I hadn't paid as much money as I did, but this is not a cheap service. Suffice it to say that this year, I bought my flowers at a walk-in florist, not over the phone. Never again over the phone, or the internet, or whatever.

I have had good experiences with them in the past, but they did not deliver my order on time this last Mother's Day. What perplexes me is that I received both "order placed" and "delivery confirmation" e-mails, yet not only was the order not delivered but they hadn't even placed the order. Also, even though they say they have a cut-off time to avoid taking more orders than can be delivered, the customer service rep told me that there is a 30-minute lag time between the cut-off time and the time the local vendors are actually notified. Why they don't build in safeguards against this, especially for peak periods, is beyond me.

SUMMARY: One of the worst experiences with a vendor from which I have purchased a product - absolutely terrible. DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM! PROS: It is easy to place an order using the website (anyone can just take orders, but the most important thing is to actually deliver them!) CONS: They don't deliver what you order and if they do, it's not on time, no one answers the phone when you call, and no one answers your e-mails when you need help. This may sound exaggerated, but it is not! After waiting nearly two weeks for a response regarding an order that was not delivered, I had to e-mail them again (because no one answers the phone when you call) and finally got a brief e-mail stating that my order was not shipped, they no longer had the item in stock and that they would credit my account. Thanks for the heads up 1-800-FLOWERS - I guess I was supposed to assume that you were incompetent and I would not get what I paid for.

I also placed an order with 1-800-FLOWERS for Valentine's Day and nothing was delivered. I placed my order a week in advance thinking this would help get them delivered on time. I have been trying to contact 1-800-FLOWERS through customer service and I keep getting a message stating that they need to disconnect me because of the call load. Now I just got an email stating that my order has been arranged and will be shipping. There is nobody even at the delivery location today and they were supposed to be delivered on Valentine's Day. I too will NEVER order from 1-800-FLOWERS again.

1-800-FLOWERS IS THE WORST FLORIST. I ordered some flowers for delivery on Valentines Day. The local florist in San Francisco screwed up the order. The time was around 12:00pm. They delivered the wrong flowers. I refused signing for the flowers and called the local 1-800-Flowers' affiliate "L.S.C." The driver who delivered the flower gave me the phone number and name to talked to. I got connected with someone by the name of Debra. She pretended to be apologetic and promised to send the right flowers. I was stupid enough to think that she would follow through her promise to her customers. However, I was waiting until 6:00PM and no one showed up. I called L.S.C. again and talked to Debra. Her tone completely changed. She said she did not remember any of the conversation in the afternoon. She then blamed everything on 1-800-flowers. She said that they are the one who screwed up the order. She refused to do anything. She told me to "call those guys" and what she meant was ... Read more

I have never had a good experience with them. They sent my floral arrangement to a party the day after the party. WHen I called to complain they could really care less. In fact, the person I spoke with told me they don't guarantee on time delivery. I just received flowers from a client of mine and had to throw out 3 out of 12 roses now most of them are wilted after 4 days. It's just not worth it to buy from them.

The reason why this place sucks so badly is because the affiliates they use (florists they contract with) aren't screened properly, and so many unreputable businesses who could care less about their good name sign up for the program. In short - it is a breeding ground for incompetency and "spit on customers" attitude. Needless to say, my today's order for MOther's Day was not delivered, and I am still on hold with the company 35 minutes later!

I would give this zero stars if possible... I ordered a week in advance for this past Valentine's Day for a tulip arrangement to be delivered to my fiance. Valentine's Day came and went and my fiance did not receive her flowers. I attempted to contact 1-800-FLOWERS to see what the hold up was... I called, and was disconnected, called back, and put on hold forever and then was disconnected again. It was impossible to get ahold of a live person and when I finally did, I felt like I was bothering them. No friendliness or helpfulness about them. She curtly told me that I needed to call another number. I tried calling the next number, but was again put on hold and disconnected several times. I finally reached a live person after having spent almost an hour getting thru to someone, and she rudely informed me they were extremely busy and my fiance would receive her flowers the next day. The next day came and went, lo and behold, my fiance didn't received her flowers. After going th... Read more

They should call it 1-800-mess up your order! They will generously offer coupons and vouchers and partial credits when they make a mistake (at least they own their mistakes), but wouldn't it be easier for them to just get the orders right to begin with? I've used them twice and both time my orders were messed up.

Yeah, this is the best site for false advertising and frozen flowers. My husband bought me some tulips, and they arrived promply--frozen solid. He was confused that they arrived in a box, since the photo showed them in a vase. I guess he should have read the fine print, but a company as large as this one should watch it's deceptive practices, or they may get the "cold" shoulder from consumers like me, and my husband!

Call me old-fashioned but there is soemthing special about hand picking the bouquet you send to someone. A flower shop is a wonderful place to go, the smells, the textures of the flower petals, it's a wonderful experience you can't get on a web page.

Despite its name and reputation, this site was unable to deliver flowers close to Valentine's Day last year even though other companies could. They had a supply issue that they didn't anticipate, I guess.

1-800-flowers is a great web site. The web pages are user friendly, interesting to look at and nice too. The specials that they run via Internet are hot. They don't just do price mark downs from inflated prices, the specials really are bargins. I like being able to order flowers this way because of the convenience and the guaranteed satisfaction as well as the option to phone in my credit card number.

Very helpful. Straight forward and honest. Good selections. Good customer service. The people on the phone are very helpful. They are honest, which is very important and hard to find today. The website has some really good selections and I would recommend this site to anyone.

The site isn't the easiest to use if you aren't sure what you want. Also the pictures aren't big enough to really see what you are ordering. But if you are just looking for a quick, simple gift of flowers, it is a good shopping site.

My experience has been mixed with this site. The first time I went on, it took me 10 minutes just to figure out how to register. More recently I had a better experience, though the prices seem pretty steep. Should it really cost $35 for 6 roses?
