My grandson wanted to watch this, till I heard about 5 counts of profanity in 3 or 4 scenes, then I had to turn it. How about cleaning up your act.

I always found this show hilarious, though it was basically the same plot every week.

I don't know what u guys r tlking about!!!!!!!!! this show is hilarious it's my favorite show. Every character is cool and it is not a rip-off! I hope they bring this show back to fox because Titus isn't that great of a show and gilmore girls is way too stupid and preppy.

Grounded for Life is really funny. Im so glad they put it in full houses spot on ABC at 4 pm, because I really enjoy watching it and I'm usually not busy at 4. Lily is definately the worst part of the show but the rest of the characters are hillarious.

I dont know where to begin commenting about this TV show, since i dont watch prime time TV much anymore, because most of it sucks nowadays. I guess its a good show. It has its moments like any other show. I agree with IJR's comment about it being entertaining about a couple that grew up in the 1980's raising a family. The only characters that annoy me are Lily(Lynsey Bartilson), and Henry(Jake Burbage). Dispite these characters, the rest of the cast seems pretty good. I like the episode when Sean(Donal Logue), and Claudia(Megyn Price) catch Lily in bed with their neighbor Brad O'Keefe(Bret Harrison). That episode made me laugh.

Deserved MUCH better than what it finally got (axed by the know-littles at Fox, then picked up for a clumsy run on the WB before being dumped into syndication). The audience was there both times, just not in the numbers needed to ruffle the matted feathers of junk like SURVIVOR, FEAR FACTOR, and any one of the engorged ticks that never seemed to burst on the old-guard networks. Too many TITUS comparisons at the time, which was like comparing a giraffe to a gazelle (while it had its moments, TITUS was a mean-spirited lashing borne out of sadness; GROUNDED's multi-storied, freewheeling approach reflected real-life instances better than most sitcoms ever produced). Donal Logue was great as Sean Finnerty, working-class East Coast father to a brood of characters you'd expect to find most anywhere today (harried wife Claudia, wild-child daughter Lily, and precocious sons Jimmy and Henry). The standout of the show had to be Kevin Corrigan's slick-as-goose-poop portrayal of Uncle Eddie (BRILLI... Read more

This show is pretty bad but if they would have changed it to a different night I think it would have lasted.

Dumb show. The Character are so unlikable while they use too much profanity(the parents once called their daughter the B-word)which just isn't needed. Change the channel to Whose Line is it Anyways?

Whatever happened to this show? It used to be on FOX, but... BTW, Danya, I think you meant to write a post for 8 Simple Rules, which is currently up the list.

Just another bubble in a virtual flotsam of typical family sitcom, Grounded for Life was particularly raunchy and extremely mean-natured. The father, for instance, is so unappealing that you wonder how he even graduated high school--much less actually got married. The other characters are equally unappealing. The writing relies on cruel and crude humor and there, again, is no high-concept twist to the typical family histronics.

This show is pretty good, but I have been having such a hard time rating it. I am not sure this show is so great for a family show, but it is definately entertaining and very funny. And believe it or not, it is very realistic of many American families and couples. I love the daughter on this show too. Full of attitude and knows what she wants in life. Good job to the writers on this sitcom too. I just hope it don't get cancelled after next season.

It's pretty funny most of the time. The uncle is a great character along with the entire cast. It is good that the parents aren't middle-aged stiffs, but still in their early 30s. "Grounded" includes situations that may arise with younger children as well as teenagers, having the teenage daughter. For some reason though, I don't feel it's worthy of 5 stars.

I like this show. It is pretty mild stuff and a lot of fun. The cast is strong. My only complaint is that it is sort of a ripoff of another Fox show which now comes on Wednesdays, Titus(it has been on the air longer and is more cutting edge)

I like this show. It is the second funniest comedy on Fox behind Titus (a superior show that doesn't get the credit or promotion it deserves)

This show is really funny, but I have trouble watching it because the dad reminds me soooo much of my ex-husband. For anybody who wasn't married to my ex, it would be a great show!

this show absolutely sucks. i think that it tries way to hard. also, the girl that stars in it is a 14 year old, and so am i. she gives 14 yr old girls everywhere a bad name and a stereotype. maybe i just dont like it cuz it hits to close to home, or maybe i hate it it cuz it BLOWS!

I'm really liking this show. It's probably the best new sitcom I've seen this season. The family is dysfunctional which is cool cuz no one wants to see a "perfect, Brady-like" family in this day & age. The parents are cool because they are still young enough to be hip. And their daughter portrays teenage angst very well. This show has some real potential. (Oh, and the mom on the show is pretty dam hot too, which is a plus!)
