Polaris Virage Series

That is the way they are. I think it makes it more fun than a lot of other Jet Skis. Once you get up out of the water it looks good. Its normal though. I love my two Virage TXs. super fast. 60 mph. Great Engines

i just bought a 2001 polaris virage tx....lots of fun, low hours. My question....the boat sits very low in the water, especially the back end (right at the black trim line around the boat). Is this normal for Polaris? There are no leaks.

I have two 2001 virage jet skis.I have had nothing but trouble with the fuel system for the last three years.They start but die evry time i apply throttle.I have had the carbs rebuilt twice,and have winterized them according to polaris.Is there any thing to add to the gas to help clean out the system without having to have carbs rebuilt?

I am feeling the same way as tgrant(comment #3) The exhaust had to be replace on my 2001 virage tx (only 20 hours) but Polaris denies that there is a recall on this model at all and are of no help at all. No wonder I ride Arctic Cat snowmobiles now.

I purchased a new polaris virage in May of 2000. The MFDI (multi function device) went out twice and cost me $500 to replace each time. The impeller went out and cost $375 to fix. The electronis went out and cost over $250 to fix. Next the engine blew and cost over $1,200 to fix. The Polaris factory was of no help since all this started happening just after the warranty expired. I threatened to take them to small claims court and they could have cared less. I am trading this Virage in on a new machine this year and it will NOT be any Polaris JUNK!

I just purchased my 2003 VirageI. I previously rode a 1999 Tigershark 770 TSR, it was wrecked in a storm. So far, I am satisfied with my VirageI...has a nice hole shot...plenty of power.I am disappointed with top end speed. My speedo says top end is around 50-52 MPH...I was told it would make 60 MPH. (Maybe the speedo is inaccurate) I hope to do better as it gets broke in as I only have 5 hours on it now, and haven't pushed it too much yet. I think the forward-neutral-reverse handle is in a poor location...should be closer to the operator...shouldn't have to reach under handlebar to shift. Quiet and stable machine and the fuel economy is great! I like the direct injection, no choke...starts and idles perfect...no hesitation when you hit the throttle. If I can get some more MPH out of it...I am a very satisfied customer so far!

We purchased our 2001 Virage TX new in July of 2002. We put apprx. 75 hrs on it during the summer of 2002 with no troubles and had a lot of fun with it. The ski has been in the shop for the entire spring & summer of 2003 due to a recall that was not fixed prior to our puchasing the ski. We were not notified of the recall and only found out about it after paying $1200 to have the exhaust system replaced. Polaris Industries refuses to work towards getting the ski fixed, placing the blame on the Polaris Dealer we purchased the ski from. This dealer is no longer in business so at this time we have been hung out to dry. Additionally, one of the parts needed to fix the ski has been on back order for an extended period of time and obtaining information from Polaris Industries about the time frame of the part's availability is frustrating to say the least. Purchasing a product from Polaris is a risky investment.

My wife & I have just bought 2 new 2002 virages, we have used them only twice since we got them but have only had them 7 days. The first time we took them to a lake & had great fun,we also towed a tube which was also good fun.We took them to the ocean at the weekend where we were jumping massive waves, we had never skied on the ocean before & to go in & out of the waves was awsome. We were airborne for some of the time which was a bit scary but fun.I would not recommend taking a tandem pair on the beach unless there are at least 6 stong people to help launch & load up as the trailer is very heavy which sinks in the sand.

I got my Virage new in 2001 and have put about 60 or more hours on it and I have not had any problems with it at all. Everything is user friendly on it. I had never owned a jetski before and decided on a Polaris Virage because I felt the quality was as good if not better than other brands and the price was very competitive. I have not ridden my Virage roughly. I only go out to cruise around the lake on it with my dog "Buzz". It has proven to be extremely stable with two people, not quite as stable with three people. That could be inexperience on my part!!! It is a fun machine to drive with comnfortable seating. I feel it is very safe and a lot of fun.

Great middle of the line ski!! It’s only 701cc, but has 95hp- which is one of the highest for a 700 class. It tops out around 55, and pulls skiers up just fine. I’ve raced just about every other ski in it’s class, and it kills them all (even with 2 people on the ski). Polaris has a great engine, and great customer service. I have 40 hours on mine, and is running perfect!!
