Nokia 5100 series is no longer being sold by Nokia currently. 5100 model was designed with tough material. It was water-resistant model. It was supported with Java applications. It failed due to switch on-off, screen failure problem.

This phone has just the basic commands, works well, and can change faceplates. This was my first phone that I had and it works just as well as some of the other phones out there.

Like the look and all the features of the phone, the only bad point is the on and off switch which requires quite a bit of pressure!

Simple phone. Excellent for people who do not need anything fancy. I did find one problem, however: the battery begins to slide off after extensive use. Other than that, good phone.

The nokia 5165 is a great phone, I upgraded to a motorola v60t(what a hunk of garbage that was), I had bad reception and sound quality all the time. I went back to my faithful nokia 5165, worked like a champ.

I have had my Nokia phone for about two years and I have found several problems with mine. I have to dial the telephone number at least two or three times until I hear dial tone. Another problem is the battery does not last very long. I love that you can change the face plates and the different musical tones.

The Nokia phones are really played out because everyone has one. The quality of the phones are alright however, after above 2 years the phones start to fall apart. Also, the different color face plates are way too expensive!

I like this phone because it's simple, yet it's got a lot of features. You can even download your own tones from the internet. Even the accesories are easy to get so you can fix up your phone to look the way you want.

This is a great bargain phone. It has so many features. You can preprogram store phone #'s and adjust the phone to your liking.

I am on my second one of these, the 5180, and I am very satisfied with the performance. They are light, versatile and come with all the options necessary for convenience. Most of all, they are extremely durable. I dropped mine from the first story of an apartment and it still worked!

Lots of options. Cool interchangeable faceplates. Easy to program and use. Easy to find accessories for your phone. The hands free unit is discreet, doesn't look like headphones.

I like the style of the phones, the different colors and the size. The battery lasts pretty long but they sometimes fade in and out with reception.

Nokias are very good phones. There are lots of options that are available with this phone. For the most part, the reception is very good. People on the other line think that I am on a regular house phone.

I haven't had my phone very long but it's been great-I get very good reception and long battery life. It's durable. I've dropped it a few times and it's held up well. It's also got a lot of nice features and cute sounds!

Great free hours. Great on distance calling. Bad when it comes to them not working for no reason whatsoever after you've recharged them etc.

Great improvement over the 2100. It's just small enough to fit into a pocket which is nice. The battery holds up for twice as long. The range is improved however, I would like the newer models for an even better range. For the price it is nice.

Phones are trendy and convenient. They come with changeable face plates that became so popular that other companies are copying the idea. They all come with only pure digital plans which makes the clarity in many places weak. You can't travel across country with the security of the digital-analog system. Rates are better than most but service needs improvement.

It's a good phone. Has lots of room to save numbers, names, dates, etc. The reception is good. I owned one.

It is a good phone and cheap to buy. It is trendy, but does not work well in the mountains. The size makes it easy to store. Has many easy to use options.

I considered Nokia 5100 phone service decent. It's plain and simple! Easy to use. However, I'd prefer a phone with more gadgets. It is too basic.

The phone is reliable, has a few games (which drain the battery), fairly heavy duty (been dropped many a time), and overall a good starter phone. It has a keypad lock but no automatic disconnect. Faceplates make it easy to personalize.

I have one and like it. Very clear sounding. Tough and sturdy phone- I dropped it a million times and it still works perfect. I like the look of the phone.

It's not great but it's good. Some of the things inside the phone I wish I had but I don't. Sometimes I have no service in some places.

If we compare the Nokia 5100, to the Ericsson CA series, the Nokia 5100 would get a rating of 5. It is more user friendly and the scroll down menu makes an easy phone to use. You can change the cover to different colors which makes this phone very attractive to the young public.

The reason I like this phone is because at the Cellular One store you can get it for free and you get cool hours. You can never waste them.

Well, they are cute. You can change the face. They have many options, different ring tones. On the small side (though not small enough). Any phone above these are ridiculous to buy because you don't need anything else.

Nokia is the frontrunner in wireless today. They make a great product. Their format and functions are quick and easy to use. The phone is dependable and compact in size.

I feel the design and the abiltity to change the appearance of the phone makes it good. The abundance of features and settings that come with it also let you make your phone more personalized. I have never had any problem with mine.
