You're all queer, Ed was a fantastic show, possibly the best on TV before it got canceled. It had the drama and the humor, and the the likeable characters.

I really enjoyed Ed, I was sorry to see it not stay on the air. Too bad, another good one bites the dust when the trash on TV somehow seems to survive. I guess it says something about the viewing preferences of our nation.

Perhaps one of the greatest show of its kind of all time. Took the best of Northern Exposure and brought it to the next level. Winning performances by Tom Cavanagh, Julie Bowen and others in combination with insightful, funny and clever writing made this a joy for me to watch for 4 years. It was a great pity that many didn't get this show! Alex

I know this isn't very objective or rational, but every time I see Ed, I just want to punch that stupid look off his face. I don't like the show, but maybe it's just that I can't get past the feeling.

This show is not the greatest entertainment this season, but it is different and original and I think it has alot more potential in the future. Hopefully the network will keep it going just to see how far it can go...not bad...

I began watching because I'm madly in love with Michael Ian Black (Phil Stubbs) but the show has such an array of prepossessing and endearing characters that I've found myself hooked. Yes, they're trying way too hard to turn it into America's love story, but for the most part the writing is good; while sticking to the standard sitcom formula (every character with his/her own conflict and resolution) each episode seems unique and original. And a little trivia: midwestern Stuckeyville is actually off the Palisades Parkway near NYC...

Wow, phony quirks sure do make characters lovable. Or course they don't do much to make them interesting. Cut the charm and all the now expected "bizarre" behavior and write something funny. Not a comedy, and certainly not entertaining.

There's no way Carol would ever fall for a goofy jerk like Ed. This is obviously a show for loser guys who like to fantasize that they could win the love of a girl like Carol. Personally, I think the fat kid would have a better shot at her.

I love Ed the character, until recently they turned him into Ed the wishy washy dish rag, GET A BACK BONE ED and TELL VESSY TO GET LOST! She had her chance and just left you drfting around. She came to her senses a little too late if you ask me. The writers screwed that one up. Other than this story line my family of four love the show, this includes my twin boys 20 years old. old.Even they think Carol blew it and Ed should tell her off.

Ed is one of the best shows on television! I am SOOO involved with the characters. Ed just about ripped MY heart out while/before telling Carol that he loved her on the 2003 season finale. I LOVE this show!

Man, I wanted to like this one, but it turns out to be a second-rate ripoff of NORTHERN EXPOSURE, only with a lawyer instead of a doctor -- and more of the same old same-old in the two characters who are in love with each other but never consummate their relationship. It's been done a million times before, and better. Most of what is intended to be funny in ED is merely irritating.

Ed was a wonderful show the first season it was on, but now, it has become horrible. They need to dump Carol and bring back the quirky court cases and $10 bets.

Makes Wed. night TV worth watching. I would like to see Carols friend (can't think of her name) spot lighted more, she has a lot of hidden potential and personality. As for Carol, WHAT IS SHE THINKING?! The principal's a colossal jerk!

I watched this for the first time last night and thought it was pretty funny (given that NBC was touting that 25 million people had seen the first episode, I felt like I was the only person who hadn't seen it yet). The characters are pretty likeable, the plot very quirky (I've heard it compared to Northern Exposure), and the main female character very good-looking. If ESPN continues to have games like the Raiders-Chargers game last night, I imagine that I will become a regular viewer. UPDATE: IN ONE SEASON, ED HAS BECOME MY FAVORITE SHOW ON TV. I LOVE THE RELATIONSHIP ED HAS WITH HIS BEST FRIEND MIKE AND THEIR WEEKLY $10 BET IS ENOUGH TO MAKE THE SHOW WORTH WATCHING. WITH ED, WEST WING, AND LAW & ORDER ON WED. NIGHTS, NBC HAS PUT TOGETHER A PRETTY STRONG BLOCK OF PROGRAMMING.

Great show for the most part, but it tries a little too hard to be like Northern Exposure. Both have quirky characters and situations, but NXP did it a little more convincingly. Still, a lot better than pretty well anything else on today for pure entertainment and sheer fun.

Ed is an extremly dull and stupid sitcom that is never funny and that is one-hour long. It seems like I put in a 24-hour shift whenever I watch it.

I didn't think I'd like this show, but a friend convinced me to give it a shot, and I'm glad he did. "Ed" doesn't aim too high - it's not trying to be exceptionally innovative, deep, provocative, or unique. It's just a light, entertaining show with solid, likeable characters. The relationship between Ed and his best friend is a highlight, Ed's workers at the bowling alley are great, and I really like the actress that plays Carol, the woman Ed went back to his hometown to win over (after catching his wife in bed with another man). It takes a few shows to get to know the characters, but give it a chance and I'll bet you'll enjoy it.

Ed has quickly become one of my favorite shows. The characters are some of the best on tv. I imagine the relationship between Ed and his best friend reminds all guys of the friendships with their friends ("$10 if you order a Shirley Temple"). The writing is great (the show was created by former Letterman producer, Rob Burnett) and plot-lines are original. I definitely recommend this show.

How sad it is that "Ed" sold out! When I first started watching, I was impressed that it featured quirky, interesting characters and humor without a lot of sleaze. Those days are gone. I knew the show was in trouble when the slick, "Friends" clone (Bonnie) was introduced, and my fears were confirmed by last night's episode. The show slid into the predictable, sex-oriented plot you see on every other sitcom, including lines like, "Let's check our emotional baggage at the door." (Excuse me while I vomit.) I'll definitely miss watching Phil and his hilarious antics at the bowling alley, but I won't miss watching a show that is now like every other one on television.

Ed is, is my opinion, the best new comedy series. Ed always keeps the viewers laughing and his sweetness around Carol just makes everyone go "AWWWWW!!" In my opinion, Ed and Carol should hook up, but we'll see what happens!!

One of the best shows I've ever seen. It never fails to put me in a good mood. While it's not to deep (which can be a good thing by avoiding melodrama...*shudder*), it's serious enough at times. Great show!

All you have to do is give the show one chance. It will steal your heart and make you laugh. This show was perfectly casted and very well written. There is not an episode that will not make you smile and laugh. It is cute and very funny.

From the very first, I have like ED...really enjoy having a low key character as the main character of a sitcom. If one is not an ED himself, or knows and ED, one would like to. The program about the old man who had the "gay" secret was excellent...only wish ED would realize that the chunky school teacher has a crush on him (name eludes me this early in the AM) - but I guess that all of us have a good-hearted chunky woman in our lives whom we think of as our best friend confidant and "right arm" while at the same time do not think of her romantically (this is the reason that Rosie O'D is so popular). Good supporting characters, and yes, it does put me in mind of Northern Exposure.
